Setting the microphone position and direction

1. Select a microphone in the main area.

   Microphone settings are shown in the context panel.

2. Under “Position”, enter the position from the origin point using “X” (horizontal direction) and “Y” (vertical direction).

   

3. For “Altitude”, enter the height at which the microphone is installed from the floor.

   • The microphone installation height cannot be set higher than the room height. If a value higher than the room height is entered, a message is displayed and the room height setting is changed to match the microphone installation height.

   

4. For “Rotation”, enter the microphone rotation angle.

   

5. Click the main area or press the Enter key.

   The microphone position and direction are set.

	The main area shows a top-down view of the room and microphones. However, because you would actually be looking up in the case of a microphone installed to the ceiling, the microphone’s direction of movement and direction of rotation are reversed. In the main area, the microphone icon can also be dragged to change the microphone position.
